SUBARU WRX STI BRAKE PADS
Discussion
Hi i have owned my wrx sti for 6 months now and after doing snetterton and raf marham it would appear that i need to upgrade the pads or discs or both? as the standard dont like the late braking.
can i fit the ferrodo racing pads as i have used these before?
Please can someone suggest a pad type that would improve my braking
thanks

I've had yellow stuff on my car for ages now, and wouldn't go back to anything else now.

EBC YellowStuff Pads on your standard OEM rotors will do the trick and you will notice vast improvements in braking over standard OEM pads.
Using EBC's slotted and grooved discs in conjunction with YellowStuff pads will ensure you experience fade free late circuit braking and excellent everyday on road braking time and time again.
Just remember to break them in properly on the road so you get best performance when used in anger. The only other brake kit i would consider using is Performance Friction Pads and their two piece slotted or floating rotors which are finger of God stopping power but more expensive than EBC.
Make sure you change your brake fluid for some high temp DOT4 or DOT5.1 fluid and install Goodridge Stainless Steel braided brake hoses all round for that nice firm controlled pedal feel. If you don't at least do these two further mods as well then you will probably still get some brake fade due to the fact these pads get very hot and will boil standard brake fluid making it useless, and heat up the standard brake hoses to the point where they flex and over expand under pressure giving you no brakes at all!!
Not good when trying to slow down quickly from 130/140 leptons into a tight corner
Just make sure you're wearing pampers!!
Hope this helps
