MOT Exhaust Emissions after ECU swap

MOT'd the Griff yesterday for the first time after fitting the Emerald. To be honest I was more than a little concerned over the exhaust emissions since the mod. Readings are:

MOT 07
CO 2.0%vol (limit=3.5)
HC 807ppm vol (limit=1200)

MOT 08 (with Emerald)
CO 1.83%vol
HC 587ppm vol

The worry was caused by the fact that during starting it chucks out a vast amount of fuel, but I just made sure the car was thoroughly warmed through before taking it to the tester
