Been looking for a while for a black Exige S now, ideally with the touring packs, not really keen on a sports exhaust (the noise of the nagging from the left side + the exhaust might be too much). Budget is 30K... Does anybody know a dealer having one? Been checking Autotrader and Pistonheads but nothing really coming up close to London

Adrian Blyth had one sat there in the garage when I went in last weekend. May be worth a call.

Lip[scombe have one but it is slightly over your budget, they have had it for ages though so may be room for negotiation?

Speak to Paul Parkinson he will do you a good deal, and it's an Ex Simon Cowell from Ex factor (wr)

The one at Adrian Blyth seems to be the non S version. Surely Simon Cowell as a first owner must bring the price down dramatically.. will follow up on that one

Well, I've wanted an Exige for ages and I can't afford an S so, I'm off to Adrian Blyth next week to take a look smile

From an ownership point of view, what differences can I expect from my Elise 111S should I decide to take the plunge? I realise the suspension will be a little stiffer, tyres won't last as long, I'll need to be a bit more careful in the wet and the fuel consumption won't be as good. But, other than that, I'd appreciate any comments from anyone who has owned both models.

Thanks in advance.

If you aren't caning it.. no reason yuo should expect an exige S to be dramatically different to your 111S.

Well I've just got back from my test drive in an Exige and was very impressed! It just felt so much more powerful than my Elise 111S. I need to sit down and work out some numbers but, I'm pretty sure I will be taking the plunge biggrin

I now have a dilemma I wasn't expecting. They had both a black one and a red one (I drove the red one) and, before I went, I was pretty certain the black one would be for me. Mileage is similar, black one has the touring pack & 4 x new tyre. red one has armourfend and will have full service and 2 new rear tyres before being driven away. Black one has no armourfend and is only 6 months away from next service. The price of each is close enough to make no difference.

So, black or red?

Opinions?

Just ordered the black one........excited, me?!! You could say that biggrin

The front end has touched up stonechips already so, a respray would be needed before armourfending. I'll have to save up and do that next year. I've had the Elise for 2 years so, I'm no stranger to the odd stone chip here and there wink

The search continues.... Been looking at this one now http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/300044.htm Spec-wise it's what I'm looking for (except that I would be happy to not have the PP but then biggrin ) but it's way over what I want to spend (originally 30K for a 2007 S model). Any comments on the car? Anything I overlooked or reasons for not to get it?

I guess a tracker would be worthwhile having, what's the recommendation there?

£36,495 is good value for this car, it has air conditioning, touring pack, performance pack, carbon fibre side pods and a k&n induction kit. I've seen the car recently when over at the after sales department for some work on my loti.

If you can stretch another £6,495 do it, the pp is an awesome car!
