Duckling

[te51cle]

Everybody say "ahh"...

[robinhood21]

Ahh...'tis lubberly!

Love the movement of the water.

[toohuge]

that's superb! Looks like it's smiling.

I wish it was less windy and I was closer when I got its daddy!

While we're on the water theme, it's uncle is pissed...

[Gemm]

What about a sleepy cygnet?

[CVP]

As we're doing reflected birds I'll chip in with the Great Crested Grebe. Love the spiky feathers, here is a bird who still thinks it's the '80s

Here are a few from me!

Sorry for quoting another pic, but Gemm, thats a stunning pic if my exif reader is right and that was taken at 1/2000 ?

Looks like aperture priority, but damn, I dont go anywhere near that fast for drag race pics ?

Confused but impressed of Herts.

[Goldeeno]

No quite as cute, but close...

[Jenx]

Mmmmm, what's confusing about using 1/2000s? I think the the light level was good and I under-exposed it by -2/3, so I can't find anything strange about it personally.... But thanks for your complements anyhow .

This might not be the best picture, but it was totally unexpected. They just walked in-front of where we were sitting. I had to wrestle the camera out its bag to take a photo in time.

Beautiful. I think I like it because it's such an unusual 'pose' for a swan. Glad I wasn't the object of his ire though!

[ronj]

An ugly duckling(Coot).

A better looking duck (male mallard).

Ron.

[Thunderace]

Not ducklings, but we had a weekend away about 3 weeks ago and came back to find this had taken up residence in the window-box outside our first floor kitchen window. Saw she was sat on an egg and didn't have the heart to turf her off.

These 2 ugly little monsters arrived this week.

Amazing, in all my 39 years I've never seen a baby Pigeon!

Only on Pistonheads....

Me neither, far uglier than the coot. Some really cracking shots on here
