You can't get better than a quik fitt fitter (name changed to protect identity )
4 new Bridgestone Potenzas fitted for £448. Just pulled up at the door and away again within the hour. Spot on service too, staff were asking loads of questions about the car and gave the wheels a good clean too.

Have to diaagree on that.

When I last went to the Trowbridge branch a man did not like the price of a quoted tyre - when he left a fitter told another that he should have put the tyre on the car and then told him how much "easy way to get a sale mate".

Sensing fantastic service I asked them to check the state of my tyres - they went out and promptly took a fag brake with their mates after taking a brief look at the tyres.

After waiting for 5 mins + I went out of the office, into my car and drove off.

Shame for them as I need 8 tyres across three cars but can safely say I will not be going back to them!

Living in Edinburgh a few years ago I needed a new battery for my Scorpio late one cold (bloody cold) winters evening.
Went to KF on the Costorphine Rd and asked if they had one.
No they didn't but the branch in Blackhall (since closed) did.

And they promptly went across town to get it for me at 10mins to closing, fitted it and all for no extra charge.
Gets my vote.

Went to said KF in Trowbridge on account of complete indifference from KF in Bath. After fighting through a an air of 'what do you want - I'd really rather that you weren't here asking me about tyres', managed to come away marginally content with an okay fitting and price - boy do they make me nervous - with that fish-bowl waiting room letting you see them struggling with the wheel nuts and struggling with actually removing the wheel and watching the 15 year old girlfriend doing the air.

If you look like you know what you're doing when visiting KF...they don't want to know you.

If you're a blonde housewife, they'll be all over you like a rash trying to sell you tyres and then your brake pads are worn and then your suspension is leaking etc etc etc

They are the PC World of tyre sellers.

My mate's garage usually do everything for my classic yank motor but I ordered some fresh rubber and though a quick jaunt to local KF (about 5 miles closer) would be ok.

How hard could it be right?

WRONG! They said they will not fit tyres that are purchased elsewhere even though (no surprise) they wouldn't be able to supply a 205/75/R14 with a 1" whitewall.

Maybe I'm nitpicking.

I've used the back street place in Swindon but they have a nice big new place here too - usually get good prices and service from them
