indicator stalk

Hi there.Had a small accident today and snapped off my indicator stalk.I drive a 1999 bmw e46 and I wondered if anybody knows if they are difficult to change or is it a garage job.

Reasonably straightforward but you will need to disconnect the battery so that you can remove the airbag

A BMW driver shouldn't be going anywhere near the indicator stalk

The story goes like this.I was putting my wallet into my glove box with my car keys also in my hand.I dropped my keys onto the passenger side floor.As I pulled up my elbow lodged underneath the stalk without me realizing therefore snapping it.Yes I know what I am.

That's disappointing, I was hoping there might have been a gymnastic romantic encounter involved. That's how a window winder got snapped off once many years ago in one of my cars
