Nuke Proof Hubs
Discussion
Anyone know anything about these? CRC list the rear one at nearly half the price of a Hope Pro 2 and slightly better specced:

Can't find much about them as their website is "coming soon".

Found a brief snippet about them in May's MBUK but they don't say much other than the price and to check out the website. They do however say, and I quote "sound like a Kawasaki in a tunnel" which answers that question
I guess if they're that new, no-one's going to have tried them yet(?) Perhaps I shall be the guinea pig as I need a new rear wheel pretty soon

Meh, they're okay I guess. I don't think they are as cool as my original Nuke Proof hubs on my Clockwork. They cost £300 back in 1994'!!!! (Was very into the bling then and also had the Ti Onza pedals, the bike weighed around 21 lbs!)

They do look cool htough and would be a welcome change to the Hope's.

- UPDATE*
) but does sound more raspy due to having more pawls. It's still loud enough to let pedestrians know you're coming but if you've got a lot of speed on the wind noise pretty much drowns it out. It feels nicely engineered and the whole wheel (Mavic XM719 laced with DT Swiss comp spokes) weighs bag on 1kg (without tyre or cassette) so is pretty light. Recommended if you're looking for a new wheel but can't stretch/justify the cost of a Hope/CK
