Been doing a bit of engine bay cleaning during this never ending winter. I took some before and after pictures.
Before

After

While I was at it I changed the trumpets

I also changed the brake discs to EBC/ pads Greenstuff /hoses Stainless steel and fluid to 5.1, and swapped the rear lights to the lexus type. And a new battery, coil and service.

It all seemed to take forever, now all I have to do is keep it clean.

Thanks, the trumpets make a big difference, in line with a K&N filter and smoothe bore inlet, I also made a spacer out of tufnol, so now there is lots of cool air available, it just wants to keep accelerating (or is that mehehe) . Strangley, I think its made the exhaust louder and have plans to make a half cherry bomb exhaust

Lovely job - you must have far too much time on your hands. How much do you charge?

BTW what is the purpose of the sealant around the engine plate? i thought these were rivetted.

I do a lot of night shifts and so when the weather is to bad to go for a drive I find other things to do. How much do you charge?

Correct that man, I had a slight leak when I bought the car so sealed everything I could get at.

I had the plenum, expansion tank etc powder coated at trac v road , bought a braiding kit off e-bay. the rest is elbow grease with a bit of help from white spirit to get in the nooks and crannies, and lots of autosol
