Got it this week.Car is normally aspirated. His brother runs similar car runs 8.40at 160 something ...with a small block 283ci with single carb and no nos.
Thats Perth for you.Track is so sticky you almost fall over if you walk on it for the first time.

I would be surprised if those figures are correct given the stated engine size and spec.
Nice looking car though.

I dunno, some Comp Eliminator cars in thr States squeeze 7's out of V6 lumps, look at Jim Cowan for example. That car also looks pretty slick and could be an old pro stock car so they tip the scales pretty light.

Small, 283ci, displacement, no nos, normally aspirated, I think it would have to be a seriously light car to make that sort of speed and times. Probably making 500bhp at best. Don't mind being proved wrong though!

So Richard, would you also be suprised at 400in (MAX) small block cars on a single carb and no nitrous running 7.teens in Australia? OR infact 500in cars on a single carb and no nitrous running 6.50's in the US?

I'm sure those figures must be wrong too

I did say that I could be proved wrong. 283ci engine in a full bodied car still has a lot of weight to move no matter what the engine spec.

I was there when he ran it, Same day John Zapia ran 5.9 something in his Monaro doorslamer 3 times!Go on u tube and look 4 kwinana motorplex or Salvo racing!
The 283 ci revs like a goodun and is a manual.
There is a 5 sec 68 dart there as well.

ill post some more pics

This car is not the 283ci car. They are running 2 cars.Franks Brother runs the 283 car.
This is a Small block with no NOS and running 2 carbs.
