This Saturday is another round of the TVRCC sprint championship, being held at Goodwood.
This is a great free day out, where you can observe Tivs ranging from Steve Heaths beast to a 3000S being used in anger, as god intended them to be .
Anyone up for a mini convoy leaving the Fareham area up the lovely A32 and along the A272 and down the A286 to Glorious Goodwood on Saturday morning .

I'm going Harry, I love the route down to Goodwood (from Dorking). Where do you park, outside or inside the circuit?

Dave.

Re parking on sprint days, its pretty difficult to get a space on the inside of the track, but worth having a check as you have to go through the tunnel . Saying that there is always room to the right as you come out of the tunnel.

Ah Tony, thought I was going John-no-mates on my own , 10:30 or 11:00 :confused, may miss some of the runs though at that time. Any times good, have to walk the dogs first though.
I'll text Alan_d as he doesn't always visit PH.
Mark (mhowe7), he of no exhaust baffling , you coming too.
Anyone else on route want to meet up

Had a great day out as usual, I'd like to thank T88CAN for saving me from having to go on my own and for giving my son a 'lift' home, he's still talking about the 'surge' a Tuscan has . There where a few over Tiv drivng spectators there judging by the car parks.
No2 son was busy with the camcorder and I'll post a link once its put together.
I'd also like to thank the 'Ocean' griff (Marcus Clay?) for demonstrating that out of the final chicane you can go from (power?) oversteer one way to a complete 180 the other way (lift off and grab the brakes?), rather you than me .
Thanks to all the competitors that took time to have a chat as well I may yet 'have a go next year'.

Just so happens the video is now ready find it here on Luca's site www.sleepy-fish.com/images/videos/TVRs/Goodwood_Sprint_2.wmv be warned though its 34Mb and 20 minutes long but well worth a look, not a problem if you have broadband .

This time I've left a few of the 'other' marques in it for interest (M3, scooby, Morgan amongst others).
The first round is all filmed from the start finish area so is complete, the second runs are from around the chicane so most of the starts are missing , but it does give a different view.
Re Marcus spin you can see it from the reverse view, interestingly in comparasom(sp?) the next car through shows the liberties the 4x4 boys (Scooby) can take and get away with it.
Enjoy.

Harry, glad you enjoyed it anyway, but it was more than a bit fraught from where I was sitting, and at one stage I though the Earl of March's preparations for the Revival meeting might have a Griff sized hole put in them!

The car - and this is my fault here, for not having heeded my mechanics advice to change suspension bushes (quote "but it's only done 19k miles") - started misbehaving under power, very early in the lap, and whilst my 'off' at the chicane was a bit hairy, it was nothing compared to having to apply opposite lock through Fordwater at over 100 mph.

I'll try and download the video and see if I can think of any more excuses!
