Just had my monaro in for a few faults under warranty and one of them is the radio on a journey on motorway which cuts out after 25 minutes. it seems to be the amp and vauxhall garage have confirmed this but vauxhall technical say its the heat protection and should do this but i dont listen to it on full volume anybody else have this problem?

It is much hotter in AUS than here, the heat protection may be whats turning it off, thequestion is why is it getting so hot?

52! Ouch! Maybe I'm old before my time, I can't concentrate much over 30.

you could try turning the amp back a bit and see if the problem goes away - its easily adjustable from within the boot. A lot of us on here have boosted the it a bit from stock position to get a richer sound. Could yours be turned too far?

I'd say so yes! It will be hitting the sound distortion protection too I'd imagine!!!

The gain is probably too high on your boot amp then stig.
I find if you turn up the bass on the headset, the distortion limiter kicks in far too early, and you can't get a lot of volume out of the unit even though it is turned right up.
Lots more volume at lower number if you turn the bass down a number or two.
