Looking for 3 series....

Need a bit of help here !!
We're having to juggle our cars a bit as we have a baby coming and the Missus has decided she wants a 3 Series BMW around the 2001 age (pre facelift cause she doesnt like the little round spot lights !) with 4 doors. No only that but she's being really specific with the spec and doing my head in !
Colour must be Steel Blue, must have cream or black leather interior with brushed aluminium and SE or sports spec preferred. She also want the 18" MV2 alloys but I can get a new set off ebay so thats less important !
From my perspective I'd like the miles to be less than 80k and it needs to be accident free and must have a FSH, Engine size not so important as long as its 318i upwards.
If anyone knows of a car with this spec for sale please drop me a PM or let me know ! I've scoured the autotrader, pistonheads adds and ebay and cant quite meet the above spec. If you can suggest anywhere else to look it would be much appreciated !

Will she insist on the no smoker option pack and the rear blind do you think! Have you ever tried to reason with a pregnant woman ?!?!?!?
She's starting to come round a bit now, if it were me I would indeed be buying the best car I could find for the money rather than worrying about the colour and exact trim but that’s women for you ! I've tried to tell her the facelifted version will be a better buy and that the cream leather combined with a new baby really is aksing for trouble !
Think we might be getting to a facelift with black leather compromise point !!

Right, we're making some progress !!
We're now narrowed down to a couple of cars but I cant find much to tell me what changes were made during the E46 face lift in 01 ?
We've basically got the choise of 2 cars, both are 318i SE however one is a 2001 (1.9 engine) pre face lift and the other is a 2002 (2.0 engine) post facelift. They are both within 5000 miles of each other (62k vs 57k) but there is £1000 difference in price.
Is it worth paying £1000 more for 6000 miles less and a facelifted car ? I know there were some electrical problems with the early E46's, was this resolved with the facelift ? They are both from BMW approved dealers and both descirbled as excellent condition.

Well, anything for a quiet life, car bought, pick it up Tuesday!
Ended up with a 2002 Facelift 318I SE manual in Steel Blue with grey leather and brushed aluminium. 1 owner and only 55,000 miles with full BMW history so fingers crossed it should be a good motor! Anyone want some new alloys as I'll be getting some 18" MV2's to go on it!
