It's on my desk calendar, but as I only landed from China that morning and had been up for 42 hours straight by 6pm, the prospect of polishing off a bottle of Chablis and having an early night with a particularly attractive blonde kind of won over driving 45 miles to Brighouse and back again

You drink the white when you want something quick and refreshing. You save the red for enjoying over the long term because you instinctively know it is the choice of the true connoisseur

and I don't know why you keep chewing at the colour thing like a dog with an old smelly bone ... I have had a Giallo Ferrari Spider, and a yellow TVR, and even a yellow 406 Coupe, not forgetting the old Sunflower yellow Morris Ital! ... I am in fact one of yellow's staunchest advocates

I suppose the red does suit the 348 berlinetta really, but yellow for the spider. Its only because I'm upset mine isn't loud enough!

I know what you're saying Al and to be fair there isnt many whites that I drink these days, but the Chablis is always top of the list.

The last one I bought was a premier cru and it was wonderfull, a complete bargain at £17

Red wine is undoubtedly my fave
