' Search' Broken - Sump & Oil Filter Capacity?

Sorry guys, the search function is still broken and I've not bought my Bible to work but need to order some oil for my service next week.

Could anybody please remind me what volume is required for a 500 oil & filter change. Seem to remember it being 6-7 litres but don't want to end up short!

I think I put 5.5 litres in mine last time.

I doubt you'd be short if you bought 6 litres, but I usually find that oil is cheapest if you buy the 5 litre bottles ( 5l = £19.99, 1l = £8.99 ) so you might find it's best to get 10 litres and have half the next change sorted out too...

Cheers guys, I've already got 2.5 litres in the garage so no worries about running out during the service! I'll get myself a 1 litre bottle for LeMans top-ups, need to save space in the boot!
