As a counterpoint to the other thread, is it just me or would you?

Didn't want to get into the other thread but seeing as you started a new one...

It all depends on the client imo, if you are offering business solutions that are successful and save the client money or offer good projected returns then you should project that success.

If you are looking for investment money for a project or charging a fee for services then, I would say no.

Hi! Personally I stick to my Audi and would not take the Ferrari unless I had been before and knew what was already in the car park. More importantly it depends on the culture and the people I am meeting with though. I consider it the same as what I will wear to the engagement and try to be on level terms with the client, unless, of course under certain circumstances smile

Its a strange phenomenon the jealousy culture in the UK - I work on both sides of the atlantic and in the UK no-one knows about my Ferrari as they all get stupid ideas about personal finance - it doesn't matter that the person next to me has a house of 4 times the value, I would still be seen as the one earning too much....outside of my immediate family no-one knows.

...in the USA the opposite - they flock to anyone who shows signs of success and are enthusiastic about the car and the person driving it, they very much think being associated with success will make them successful, a far more positive outlook on life.

People are very jealous in the UK I agree, I don't think I would drive such an attention grabbing car if I'm trying to get someone's business. Sad state of affairs though isn't it.

Personally i would never take the ferrari to see a client as most of my clients tend to be in financial problems anyway so it looks a bit bad on my part
