Does anyone know the owner? This was going to be a test vehicle for Adam Burdette's operation. He obviously failed at his plan. In the mean time- I would like to help the owner out with the situation. I talked to Colin B at Racing Green a little bit about it.

Well, my guess is that they might have tried sneaking it past customs. But everything has to be done correctly no matter what the laws say. So if customs officials saw anything that looked out of the ordinary- they would have seized it.

Well it went out there well over a year ago because I spoke to Racing Green about it when I was buying my Sag in April 2007 and they where hoping it was going to come back then. So where has it been all this time - laid up in Customs?

Yes. I talked to Colin a bit about it. It is stuck in US customs. The storage fees are more than the car is worth!

It was me that 'had' bought/reserved it, but unfortunately the damn thing never turned up! I kept in touch with RG and they were as good as gold - it was just the lies being told to them from TVR, etc. Shame really, as I would still like the car.

Correct.
Launched in the USA under a Stars and stripes flag with the UK reg number clearly showing as PO55 BKU

it must have overstayed its welcome, i think its 12 months on a temp export visa and then car has to return to uk as no export duty has been paid. i may be wrong, proof of owner ship required by customs to ship back and pay storage etc,or maybe they will send it to the crusher?? if no one owns up, but then won't the uk customs be informed and investigate the unpaid duty???.

The 12 month and limited mileage thing applies to cars being used IIRC. I think the car can stay as long as it wants but cannot be used on the road after the 12 months.

I suspect the launch photos were shot in the UK. The car never made it onto official US soil - it's in 'no-mans-land' customs albeit on the other side of the pond.

No the car was definitely in the USA, outside shots quite plainly in Florida and Marshall Moore head of the TVRCC NA was at the launch event in March 2007.
