BMW specialist near Newbury, Berkshire

My father in law has a 525 of around 1990 vintage. He only drives ~ 4 K miles a year. He STILL takes it to a BMW main dealer for an annual service . I think the cost of the service may be more than the car is worth ! Any specialists in the Newbury ( or better still - Thatcham - village about 4 miles east of Newbury ) area?
