Hi Guys

I get a lot of feedback through my steering wheel at speed. Is this normal for an AMV8 or should it tighten up at speed? Can I use a thicker oil in the rack to help that?

Depends what you mean by feedback.

Steering is one of the nicer assisted setups IMO with decent weight and good communication. I wouldn't put anything other than the recommended fluid in it.

There have been a couple of threads on this recently. I think you might be referring to a bit of play so that you get mild vibration and an audible knock from the column when hitting bumps. I test drove one or two demonstrators before ordering mine brand new and one of them had this 'issue'. Thankfully mine does not, but I have heard of a couple of people experiencing it.

It's normal.. after the roadster was launched they added an additional strut brace to the steering column to alleviate some of this. I quite like the level of feedback personally.
