Sprint has a 1989 'H' 400SE with 61K miles for £8,750 and a 1988 'F' 390SE with 70K miles for £7,500, if that's any help.

Check the chassis and in particular the outriggers behind the side skirts and to the rear of the front wheels, expect surface rust but NO holes !
Check the rear suspension and pay particular attention to the drive shafts as they form the upper part of the suspension, consequently they eat Ujs. Some vibration from the rear @ 80mph seems to be normal but anything too excessive is worth investigating.
Oil pressure should be 25-35 psi and may drop to low 20s when hot at idle. Anything lower than this is cause for concern.
Make sure the fan cuts in around 90 deg and temp never rises higher than top white line on temp gauge.
Start it from hot and cold and let it settles to an idle. Should idle around 900-1000 and can be a bit lumpy.
Should give smooth power from 2000 revs to 5500 and a good kick around 3500.

Just sold mine, a 90H with 36500 miles, 12 months MOT for £9500. It was in excellent condition with lots of history.

Difficult to say what it’s worth as each one is very different but if it’s mint and low mileage then £9K would be my top price so work you way down from there.

Both cars are pretty low profile - suggest you stack them vertically, ie hoist one up with block and tackle, then drive the other underneath.

Bought my 400SE for £7500 , two years ago , and it was just MOT'd . H11 JMJ which is featured in the "Best of British" (TVR) video. It was a known write off , but only after I started to work on it , did I realise how bad it was .

So far spent £5k on it at Peninsula , with about another £1.5k to go . It's damn good , but be aware that these cars are money drains !!!!!!

Check out my profile to see the pics .

That's one option I didn't consider

That's how they stack racing cars in those big artic thingies - on second thoughts perhaps a big hydraulic lift is better than block and tackle. Car one goes into garage as usual. Car two then goes onto metal 'fork-lift' jobbie which raises it up to level of wheel tracks built into each side of garage...

Thunderbirds has a lot to answer for!
