clap just spent 4 days ragging the nads off my griff in a certain part of the country (lots of sheep) with brand new 888's in all weathers,
these tyres can only be described as amazing, even in very wet conditions,
once warm i could not even wheelspin from a standing start, i tried three times, all i did was grip and go. can't praise these enough, anyone thinking about buying some but not sure, just get them!!

What sizes did you go for?

I am looking to go with R888's and 205/50/50 fronts with 225/50/16 rear.

Cheers

It's the aqua plaining at high speed you need to worry about !

70mph on the m6 toll road massive amount of water everywhere, seemed fine,
but wouldn't go any faster than that in those conditions in any car, unless i had a death wish as visibility was the biggest problem from the spray!!

Don't rule out the Dunlop DZ02G or the new DZ03G either.

Both offer an excellent alternative to the Toyos.

I've seen two cars crash on the same day with R888's in the wet. The limit is way below T1-R's in the wet and you don't find that out until it's too late!

They are too risky in the wet but brillant in the dry.

Just had triple eights on my '7' , they hang on like leeches at corners , not bad in the wet but have been told to ' be careful ' !

They can't be beaten in the dry or damp conditions...in the wet they are a road legal slick, so there's no way they can compare to a std road tyre such as the T1-R in the same way that the R isn't as good in the Dry.

Standing water is the only issue, and with less and shallower grooving, common sence needs to be excerised.

(other road slix are available!) but not from us wink

BTW Tim...your Griff needs looking at,they ain't that good. "can't wheelspin??" wink

I really like the look of these tires. I will be getting some when I need some new rubber, particularly as the cerb gets used only in the dry...well apart from going to chatsworth...

That's a bit of a sweeping comment Andy, but then we know you are prone to a bit of exageration. wink
