Hi all - I'm looking for some decent tunes to load into my Triton. Web seems to have little to offer (korg, tritonhaven, tritongalaxy, all have nothing new or of interest).

Anyone know where I can get some from - just a general mixture of chart type hits.

Keep being tempted by midi files from fleebay, but in the past they've always sounded like they've been step sequenced by a ten year old.

Anyone recommend any? Not looking to spend a fortune (even better if free).

Thanks in advance.

Most MIDI files will be in the GeneralMIDI format which is a generic template of sounds compatible with most keyboards/sound cards/mob phones etc. Because it's generic they won't make use of any additional features/sounds your machine will have which is why even on the best of equipment they usually sound a bit naff.

If a track was written specifically for the Triton using the onboard sequencer then it wouldn't be in MIDI format anyway as it would use Korgs own proprietary format.

But if MIDI OK for what you're after then a Google for Midi tunes/tracks/songs etc should reveal thousands.

You could try http://www.freemidi.org/ for a start.

Thanks for the suggestion, I'll have a look tonight. Yeah I realise its the whole GM thing, but I've heard such a difference in quality from different sources.
