Been trying to get a set of leads made and have been waiting ages for Magnecore to come back to me, has anyone used http://www.performanceleads.co.uk/ and are they any good. Or who else supplies good custom leads.

Just need these to finnish my emerald install then I can have ago at starting her up.

I use Moroso leads. Far better in my experience than Magnecor. Half the price, and last twice as long.

They also come with a choice of colours and far more importantly you can specify which plug connector you'd like. 90, 135 or straight.

I use 135 degree plug ends which means by the time they have been put onto the shrouds they fit snugly parallel vertically against the rocker covers.

They come unfinished with a selection of fittings. You can buy a crimping tool for them and the leads from Real steel. You'll have no issues with length, they are very generously cut.

Anyone can make these to length, it's not a difficult job at all and allows you to change the length of the leads to route them around the engine bay exactly how you want them.

Don't forget to buy crimping tool !

Also www.autoelectricsupplies.co.uk do the cable and connectors so you can make your own up.
A friend of mine just took this route on his bike throttle bodied clio and they work a treat, cheap too, he was also getting frustrated with magnecor

Thanks

Matt

Another question, when using the ford coil packs and I have a set of non resistive plug extenders should I be using Resistive leads, also what resistance is prefered as they very quite alot.

You'll know if you need it because you'll suffer from ECU resets. Typically they'll be around 5K Ohm, although with resistive leads it usually varies with length.
