My car's just back from my local mechanic who fitted new pads (Mintex, a revelation after the greenstuff ones that were on it).
However he said that i should top up the coolant (Its a fair bit below minimum when cold). What should i be topping it up with?

Seloc has scared the bejaysus out of me talking about not mixing types, it's pinkish at the moment, no mayo or condensation and it's keeping temperature.

Has the HGF paranoia got me?
Thanks

Unless you know what is in there, why not play safe and top up with distilled water only....then get it changed completely soon or when due.

If it is yellowy/green, then this is the dog basic coolant which only seems to be made by Unipart and Comma now. ( It is (( Unipart)) the recommended coolant for the S1 K-series, though )

What colour do you have?

Only other plan is to track down who changed it last time, and use the same.
