Just leaving Chatsworth and the car developed a misfire, ran real rough at low revs cept trying to stall was ok at higher revs, mill light going mad and bad smell of petrol, managed to limp home at 80, anyway pluged the laptop in throttle was equal both sides, lamba seems ok getting a reading from both but diffrent amounts but the adaptives all over 1 was say 20 other -20 to 30 so reset adaptives and car is at least running but mill light on all the time. can't get the car booked in anywhere and off to the ring on the 15th can anyone help or suggest anthing to look at first.
Got a guess if either a Lamba out or throttle pot or maybe a coil pack, only had a service last month.

Thanks

Plug the lappy in and see how linear your throttle pot responses are and are they equal.

Mine were a touch out which caused odd adaptives and also mine would jump to a high reading (28-30) when pulled too far back against the stop. A tweak of the link rod and the stop sorted it all out.

Also a really basic check you can look into the throttle bodies and see if the throttles open equally and both are central and not going over centre at full throttle.

Sounds like exactly the symptoms I had when a Lambda failed - but it showed up on the computer for me.
I just renewed both anyway, and alls well again....

Have you checked HT leads and plugs?

I'd guess at Lambda or coil pack.

When my coil failed it was a pain in the a*se to work out ! Cold, I'd have a low end mis-fire. Once properly warm, would run really well, as long as you used no partial throttle - if you did (regardless of speed) it would cough & splutter & pop & bang like a b*stard !

Yep first time I had lambda problem was after a terrible soaking - removed and dried them out solved it for a short while, but then failed again so just renewed them!

Just to add that you havn't really diagnosed your mil light problem by the sound of it.

Isn't there a logged fault on the mil screen.
