On Sunday i took the opportunity to visit Russ and have a look at his GTR which was until recently black, but has now been repainted Lime Green.

I must admit, before I saw it, I was unsure whether the colour choice was a big (expensive) mistake.

Anyway, I can now state that I was WRONG and the car looks great, with the black wheels it really stands out.

Russ - perhaps the addition of a couple of full length stripes might just be the icing on the cake? - perhaps you could post a few pics?

Congrats for being so adventurous with the colour.

Martin.

Lime green is cool on a car, it was cool in about 1999 for interior decoration but not now, I painted my room lime green and pewter back then, it was a "Changing Rooms" inspired choice!

Sorry Russ, did not know you wanted to surprise everyone at Stoneleigh - still it will be something extra to look forward to seeing.

Martin.

Hmm I'm trying to picture lime green. I take it that is a darker color than the "Krypton Green" on this Lotus Elise (which is a great color too):

NO NO mohrt LIGHTER and more luster than Krypton !
The Lotus Krkpton is a metalic, this is a flat colour.

lovely colour the Krypton but I felt too modern for an Ultima, I don't think metalic coloures really suit the curves and lines of an Ultima.
The green I had matched from a colour that was used between 1968 and 1974 on a particular make and model of car, which I was in love with. of course I was only just born in 68.

If you were born in '68 there can be only one reason you love green... its the deep seated lust you had for a Green Machine!!!
