Hi,

Does anyone know where I can get a clutch done on a Lamborghini Gallardo Spyder? It's a manual car and I'd rather not pay Lamborghini prices!! Somewhere around the London / South East area would be good.

Many thanks

Might be best in the Lambo forum, I think clutchs are quite a popular topic over there.

Why on earth would someone spunk on a Lambo whilst worrying whether or not if it goes wrong they couldn't afford to take it back to Lambo to get it repaired.

Most curious.

Some of the replies on here are pretty stty. It's a known thing that Gallardo's pretty much eat clutches (or at least the earlier ones) and however much money he's got why should he want to piss a load more of it than is necessary away on one?

I expect Lambo want well into 4 figures for a clutch change, in fact I bet you could probably buy a nearly new Toyota Aygo for what they'll be asking. No matter how rich you are getting some advice on a forum which could save you over £1k has to be worth 5 minutes of your time!

It lasted 15,000 miles and it's not a case of not being able to afford the replacement just a case of not wanting to be ripped off!!

Look after the pennies and the pounds look after themselves!!

Italian car with some German bits.

Give Eurocarparts a call.
Sites across the country.

Pick up bits and call your local mobile mechanic to come round and repair on your driveway.

Really though, a Spyder is new enough to still be under warranty. To avoid compromising this should it not go to Lamborghini to be replaced ?

Because Lambo are rip-off merchants when it comes to a clutch change?

To keep the warranty?? Fair enough if it's out of warranty but I'd imagine a spyder is still in warranty......

Will the warranty be void if he has work done other than at a dealer?

No, as long as the company doing the work use all Lambo original parts.

Yes, that's what I thought, but I wasn't sure if it applied without exception. Seem to remember there was quite a lot of news about it a few years ago. Was there a court ruling about it or something?

Lambo original parts, or 'matching quality' aftermarket parts actually wink
