Similar to the current Exige S thread, just wondered if anyones got any experience of upgrading the S2 K Series exhaust (2002 model, Oval tail pipes)

Been told mine already has some kind of exhaust upgrade, but I'm no expert and not 100% convinced, doesn't sound particularly exciting.

Done some (limited) browsing and not bringing back many options, not near as many as the yota engine.

Ideally I'm after something that sounds the biz, maybe adds a tiny amount of oomph, and (hopefully/possibly) street legal.

Any advice/ideas? Model, price, and installation costs? Anyone?

Thanks in advance.

This is fitted to my S2 k-series with a hurricane induction kit, makes an incredible noise under acceleration - V8 like. I've driven an elise without it and it just doesnt even come close.

That's the round tailpipe, mines got oval. Only other product on eliseparts is the full piper exhaust system, which is the price of a small family hatchback, and they no longer stock them.

The larini clubsport looks like one option though.

Sean, I have a Larini Clubsport on my K-Series S1 which you're welcome to have a listen to. I drive past where you work most days anyway so it would be no problem. Unfortunately my car is in Edinburgh for a couple of weeks so no good if you're in a hurry.

Ive got a Bell and Colville stainless exhaust and it sounds fantastic. Not overly loud at normal driving, but put your foot down and it makes quite a racket!

There's a guy on base with a Janspeed on his 111s. It sounds absolutely bobbins compared to the Larini, honestly, it's like a bean can. I blatted passed him the other day on the way home - when I was packing the car back into the garage he pitched up to demand to know how my car was making that sound!

Larini with a decent Induction kit and you're laughing. Lord knows how good it gets with a Decat or sports cat as well...
