Went to close the passenger door yesterday and it won't stay shut. It just bouces open. Suppose the catch has broken. Just wanted to check if this is a known issue and if there is a quick fix before I have to spend money getting it repaired.

I had a defective catch on my T350 .. did the same.

Even came open while going around a roundabout.. not much fun as it was the passenger door with no passenger.

Had to replace it.

Might be worth checking the cable is not too tight first though.

Check the piece on the door is not loose.

To get to the lock is easy, push seat forward and lift the carpet flap. You should beable to see if anything is jamed.

I had the same and it cleared by giving the mechanism a good spray with WD40

Thanks for the reply guys. So to get to the locking mechanism is easy. That’s nice to hear. Thought it was going to be one of those jobs where half the car has to come out. I’ll check it out tonight if the weather stays dry. The lock does look very dry so maybe the WD40 route will cure it. I can only hope.

Had a look last night and the lever that the unlocking cable goes to does not return after unlocking. It feels like the spring has lost its tension. Tried spraying with WD40 but not any better. I will have to take the locking mechanism out and have a proper look. But at least I can now use the car again as long as I don't open the passenger door :-)
