Do we need to put a spacer at the back to fit the spider wheels? The drivershaft seems to be poking out more than it was before?

Many Thanks for your help.

If this is based on the standard five stud upgrade, you'll have to cut off the ends of the half shafts.

I think its the standard upgrade to 5 studs. Its not me thats doing it. Does anyone know if there is an issue with adding a spacer (bugger up the handling?) as it would be good to have the option to revert to standard 4 stud wheels if possible.

Many Thanks

Plenty of complete uprights available from breakers if you really wanted to revert... Pretty sure someone would take the 5 studs off you in exchange. Far easier to just swap the uprights rather than stubs & bearings wink

I have 16" spiders on mine.
Conversion was done by TVR Power. Convesion uses 5 stud hibs but no spacers.

For info, in case you wern't aware, the front and rear wheels are different offsets.

The spider wheel centres are smaller, so the bit of excess on the stub axle has to be trimmed flush IIRC. ..But it was more to do with getting the centre badges on?
