I've got a GTV which (shock horror) I've been really quite pleased with ! A few niggles now and again but no horror stories (I'm tempting fate a bit there aren't I ?)
Sadly it'll probably have to be sold soon as we're moving to a flat with only 1 parking space and the wife likes autos. Doh.

We have an Alfa 146 Ti (5 door, not breadvan). It has after market TSW alloys on it, and has been lowered by about 30mm! Currently being stripped out as I want to start and use it as a track day car! I say currently! I have taken the back seats out! Excellent car to drive, and when you rev the bollocks off the engine it sounds great!

Previously owned a 164 V6, FWD Alfa's can be fun! Absolutely loved it - wonderful engine, second only to the NSX V6...
very true, I had a widebody 2.5V6 155 it was superb and handled extremly well with very controlable lift off oversteer. I managed to pass a RWD cosworth Merc 190 on a track day purely on corner speed.I still have a 1.7 sprint and it handles well too.

Hi all
My previous cars included Alfa 33 Gold Cloverleaf, 33 Green Cloverleaf, 33 1.7 (wifes car that was tuned, evil & black with black leather interior
) & 33 Permanent 4 wheel drive. All rusted to some extent, all had flaky electrics and all were A1 drivers cars

. Current car 156 Sportwagon, which I have to say is a prctical day to day car
something I thought I would never say about an Alfa. Still I also drive a TVR as I enjoy the random nature of faults appearing just like in the early Alfas
I agree with other comments that the earlier cars are the ones to experience real Alfa ownership with though.

Hi all,
Haven't been on here for ages and so I hadn't noticed this new bit - whoopee! My last 3 cars have been a Lancia (y10), an Alfa (33 1.5iE) and now a Fiat (Barchetta) and each holds a special place in my heart (misty-eyed smiley for the first two and
for the last). Loved/still love 'em all. Only problem is if I'm going to continue getting Fiat Group cars from a different marque each time, my next car will have to be a Maser or a Ferarri. Time to rob a bank I think... No stockings on here so this will have to do:

Had an Alfasud 1.5ti back in the 80's.... loved it... the one niggle was that all my mates could get the back-end out on their cars, either rwd or a quick tug on the hand-brake.... but no, the 'sud was fwd and even the hand-brake was on the front wheels!
The GTV6 was also my realistic dream car back then.

v nearly bought a 75 V6 some years ago - the one with the bodykit and revolutions but it sold whilst I was on my way to buy it. Truly gutted when it'd gone as it was mint. No doubt it would've cost a fortune to keep running anyway so I bought a Ford Escort instead!
Currently got a 16v Integrale. Only sees good weather and trackdays so it's sulking in the garage.
Personally not too keen on the new Alfa styling. A bit too fussy for me. Great v6 though..
