New 5 Series due?

Does anybody know if there is a new 5series or a facelift due in the near future?

Received mid life facelift about 8mths ago, new model muted for end of 2009 IIRC

I don't think it's due until late 2010. 2009 will be the year of the new 7 series.

I had 2009 - probably for the SE, then early 2010 for the M Sports.

They will keep that info under wraps for a while yet, so as not to impact e60 sales for as long as possible.

I have the option of a company car. I'm just trying to work out the best time to go for it. I'm happy to wait as I am more than happy with my own E39.

2010 I think. 2011 for the new M5

According to Autocar the new M5 will have a 5.5 V10, turbocharged. Six speed manual also, and I think the 7-speed, M-DCT option.

I'm glad BMW are not going for 700 bhp, 550 + extra turbocharged torque and no doubt decreased weight will be exquisite.

Q4 in 2009 I am guessing.

But lots of the data on the graph is incorrect, new 7 isnt due till Q1 in 2009 with iL in Q2. X6 this week whereas its showing Q1 of 2008.

Not a BMW document I'm sure.
