Hi'

Just wanted to say hi'. I'm new to the forum, and to the Lotus world although the Elise has been on my mind for quite some time now.
I have my mind set on an early S1 and I plan to go to the UK very soon to pick one up. Living in Denmark it takes some planning though. Besides Pistonheads, where would be a good place on the web to find an Elise? I have relatives living in London, so I would prefer to find one not too far away from central London.
Anyway - I'm pleased to be part of this forum.

Cheers,

Sune

Welcome, and good luck with your hunting.

Join SELOC - The Lotus Enthusiasts Club - which I believe also has some members from Denmark who may prove useful contacts. There is a good Classifieds section on there where club members can advertise their cars. http://thisis.seloc.org/classified.php

Hi,Sune and welcome smile Sorry about getting you hooked on an Elise wink I know you'll love it when you get one though thumbup

SELOC is a good place to ask about advice. Maybe someone could go out and have a look at some cars for you .I'd recommend that.

Had a colleague of mine in the UK go out and look at several Elises and there were a couple of really bad ones .Glad I didn't go all the way to the UK to find out.

Hi, welcome on board. Good luck with your car hunting, they are great fun cars to own and enjoy. As others have said, join SELOC online. There is a wealth of information on there and some very knowledgeable people. Not sure about Danish members, but there are quite a few Dutch guys on there who are very active and one of the major parts suppliers, www.elise-shop.com is run by one the Dutch guys out of the Netherlands, so not everything is centred on Britain. Enjoy!

Well, it finally happened. I got an Elise biggrin
Last weekend my wife and I went to London to visit my sister in law, and from there we went to Cranfield just north of London, to Allon White Cars, where there was a yellow Elise from 1998. It was was just right, so we brought it back to Denmark. My behind is still hurting from the 800+ miles trip though, but it was really fun driving the car. I'll post a picture when I get one uploaded to my site.
