I'd better just say that I advised my wife to stay at home for the Chatsworth run , as it may have been wet but actually apart from a bit of ' drizzle ' was ok . Far too may Tvr's had roofs on IMHO , a chim stopped on the way back through Chesterfield to put his roof on ( mullet already up ) , I passed him and waved.

Myself and a couple of others followed the Great Man back down to Leicester.

He'll always be my hero.

This reminds me - I must start my fold-up targa project - handy defence against those unexpected showers. To be revealed at BBWF!

Got caught in a cloudburst on the A303 some years back. So long as I kept above 40mph the only water that came in was that which flowed forwards (!) along the top of the windows.

Why were the windows up? In an attempt to stop the wash from the wagons I was passing swamping the car.

But eventually I realised that there was water sloshing around in both footwells, so I stopped and put the roof on.

Teh it steamed up inside!

You can't win ... but who cares when you're driving a Wedge?

In that situation I find if I open the window just a crack it breaks up the airflow and you don't get the water buildup on the top edge.

The only problem then becomes the dreaded traffic lights!
