You've more chance of bumping into Elvis in Cardiff than a female TVR driver/owner.

Come to think of it, I've only ever seen 5 TVR's (in S.Wales) in all the years I've been driving them.

Must be something to do with the weather.

P.S. I got an office sweepstake running as to how long it will take TRVDROOL to mess up this forum.

My wife owns/drives her Chimaera...

And yes she does occasionally get negative comments. These people I would willingly beat the cr*p out of as often they're quite personal remarks.

She also gets the thumbs up too though.

As I always say: If you think you get the odd negative reaction to a Tivver wait until you drive a Porsche. Absolutely shocking what some people will do and say around you.

Glad you're getting positive reactions though...Enjoy!

I saw a blond haired lady driving a green Chimaera near my house about 2 years ago, and that's the sum total of all female/TVR instances I've seen.

Does that sound right?

Mmmm, blond stalker - can I follow her too, or would that spoil the effect?

I get positive responses too - haven't had the predicted ' you driving your husbands car?' thing yet, but only had the Tuscan for a month so we'll see!

Other night I had a string of motorbikes next to me beeping and waving.

Well you can, but I think the net effect would be the two of you going round in circles

Nice one.

The best yet (for me) was an incident near my home when a group of 8-12 year old boys heard Trev approaching. They stopped what they were doing to admire the car and as I drove past they said "Corr blimey it's a woman" . However the next time I saw them they promptly dropped to their knees on the pavement and adopted a worshipping stance. I've had my own private fan club ever since with lots of waves...ahhhh sweet

Sorry about the spelling Joospeed.

The Five G & T's and half a bottle of Poulley may have had something to do with it..

I always find that the addition of alcohol doesn't make much difference to my spelling or typing, just the content of what I say. The cr@p to sense ratio goes through the roof.

Watch out for anything I may be typing later this evening!

I have had NUMEROUS sightings of a pretty blonde driving a red S in my area. First time was at dawn one winter morning, when I was surprised to see a Trev out and about. (someone out for a quick blast while plod is in bed perhaps?!). A few more sightings confirmed it was a very good looking postwoman. She obviously has good taste and seems to use the car most days. Lucky girl, probrably only became a postie for the quiet roads on her way to work. She hasnt knocked on my door with my copy of sprint yet, but I live in hope!

Cosmoschick - nobody says 'Corr Blimey', unless they were on their way to an audition for the Artful Dodger in Oliver Twist.

I've seen two ladies in my area in the last year, one driving a purple tuscan (left fareham and headed up the A32). The other a green chim at the side of the road whilst it steamed (in stubington), pulled over to help sort it out (water leak, loose jubilee clip) neither are PH's or members of the TVRCC as far as I can make out. Which is great shame.

My Laaaaydeeeee drives the Chim every day to work!

Being a bit short as well kind of enhances the visual impact of a lovely lady in a lovely car. Had 99% good comments

Being a redhead NOBODY messes with her as EVERYONE knows reheads are endowed with the telekinetic powers to rip someones head off at ten paces!
As the bloke in her office found out (the 1%) when he said "isnt that a bit powerful for a girl like you?"

I cannot possibly put her reply into print

The bonus of it all is ....I can use it a the weekends!!

I've been driving our Tuscan a lot more than usual this year and all comments I've had have been positive, some in a roundabout sort of way. Going to club meet last week, fine evening, topless (the car!) passing a pub to shouts of Cor, look at that TVR! Then a wail from a fella rose above the rest "What's SHEE doing with it?!!" Made me smile!
