Panama - Alaska Rally Epic

Kicks off today from Panama City on an epic 11000+ mile, 2 month drive to Alaska in cars all older than 1965.
This is the GRO's second rally. It was set up by my old man when he retired as an alternative to the other rally operators. Essentially more of an endurance tour. Non competitive, more time to get places, more rest days and chances to sightsee instead of being on the clock. He got fed up of being sent down roads barely suitable for 4x4s let alone a Healey!
His own Healey is now possibly the most travelled in the world, having completed over 200,000 miles in the last 7 years. Round the World in 80 days (2000), Inca Trail (2001), several rallye des Alpes, numerous European Tours and in 2005, the GRO's first rally, the London - Sydney via Iran, Pakistan, China, Laos, Thailand and Singapore! Which was the GRO's first rally - the first ever to use that route (the most overland possible) and became the longest rally in history in terms of time and distance covered.
