Just wanted to let everyone know about an experience I've had with my non power steering model, not sure if the same problem would happen with a power steering model.

I've experienced this before about three years ago and I've read a few posts on this aswell.

My TVR has been laid up for about three weeks due to work, so the weather was good today so I took her out, the steering was a bit stiff, and when I hit my first roundabout, I had to physically straighten the wheel up or I would still have been going around it now.

I've sorted it out today with, WD40, oil, and grease. Also I pumped some grease into the sterring rack.

But just a word of warning if your car ahs been laid up for a bit.

Regards,

Paul.

Have you got a grease nipple on your rack?
I can't find one on mine.

it would be the u.j's seizing up, not the rack.

Yes it was definately the UV joint near the bulkhead, I've soaked it in WD and greased it up, I gave the Steering rack a few pumps while I was under the bonnet.
