Just wondering what most of you do/recommend.

Have a 535d Sport (E60) and changing my 18" Run Flat wheels today for 19" 172's. The tyres are not run flat on the 19".

Obviously I need contingency for puncture etc. What is best? Can you get a space saver handy enough? Should I get a pump for cig lighter etc? Do those cans of stuff really work to reinflate etc?

Thanks
Ronan

I think the E60 wheels have a larger hub diameter than the E46/E39?

No they are the same, the E39 was different, but think all the spacesavers fit anyway.

You can buy a complete kit from BMW that replaces the wheel storage trim under the floor for £150, comes with wheel, jack and tools.

I would get a used wheel off ebay with a run flat on it, they are often on there as singles and would do the job nicely, then buy the kit without the wheel, around £60.

Also worth getting the BMW mobility kit too, compressor and gunk for £60, or £20 for the halfords compressor and a can of gunk for £8.
