After finding the mini was a bit slow at Goodwood recently I’ve decided to do something about it. I have a hugely ported head in my garage from a 1380, I’m taking it to Bill Richards on Saturday and he going to measure the CR and adjust it accordingly so it will fit my 1275. The engine needs to come out as the gearbox is whining away so while I’m doing it might as well add the head, I think I’ll put my 285 cam in as well, should be fun

Nice action!!

Left mine at home today and have brought the TVR into work. Good thing too probably as the suspension is getting more suspect by the day.

Thats tommorows job though...

Yeah mines at home as well, funny that I’d really like a lightened flywheel as they do make a big difference (left my last one on the car when I sold it ) but seeing that I’m going to mod it as cheap as possible I may just stick to standard at the moment, hoping it’ll all be running for castle combe.

I can keep an eye out on Sunday if you would like...

Have you seen the titanium bits that are emerging?

That titanium subframe is madness!

Thanks for the offer but I think standard will have to do, actually thinking about it I’m sure I have a lightened verto flywheel somewhere.

Saw some lovely ultra light flywheels at London to Brighton earlier this year, think titanium maybe be slightly out of budget, the head only cost me £25, bills charging £40 to machine the head, rest of the bits I’ve got, hopefully will make a quick budget banger

That’s only £75 less than I paid for the whole car. Does make you wonder why? Someone must buy it though

It's bloody tempting though - you know how it is you think:

'It's only a bit more than that, but it'll last longer/do much better etc'

Slippery slope

Sounds like you'll be cracking out a load more power there Paul - should be fun

Hopefully should release a few more horses, would like to get it rebored to 1380 but I’ll stick with the 1275 for a while.
