My house smells of 1/2 a dozen Aberdeen Angus heffers, which have been sewn together ...

The quality of the work is fab, the look fabulous, I just wish the rain would bugger off and I can play

Good for you. I'm still amazed by mine - the quality is top notch. You have made a wise choice.

They take a while for the leather to become supple and flexible. I also found it took me a while to get used to the extra weight when I was walking around off the bike.

mmm - they look very nice

we'll be looking at a 2-piece set shortly - so far i've tried on alpine stars and arlen ness - i really like the fit + feel of arlen ness

how does BKS compare to this or alpine stars?
who did your measuring? (terrified of ordering the wrong size wink )
which did you go for and what did they cost?

sorry for the novice questions but i'm still at the bottom of the learning curve hehe

I have had my BKS one-piece for 10 years. This tuesday i christened it by crashing on the nordschleife at Metzgefeld.

Do not buy any other set if you can afford BKS. I used to have a bike shop that specialised in leathers. Thats why i bought them , i had seen everyother make available and seen the downsides.

Best leathers you can buy. Take your pick Hand made in Devon or some sweatshop in the far-east.
Even Dianese make most of theirs in the east.

Mine took about 100 hours to break in. But as long as i can stop them shrinking i will continue to wear them.

Do they do suits for us women too?

...and don't think I don't understand the risks of asking about leather clothing for women! hehe

Frank Thomas have bought the rights to the "off the peg" suits. Made to measure is still 100% BKS as it was before.

Oh st....

Frank Thomas makes some pretty crap stuff, I would hope that Frank Thomas are buying the rights to BKS designs and plan on learning how to make suits that don't come apart. Not just re-branding their more expensive stuff as BKS.

Based on the evidence of the Ride dummy dropping tests Frank Thomas don't bother to use internal stitches on their leathers which means if the seam comes into contact with the road it splits in two...
