oil sender

I have had a new oil sender fitted to my 95 4ltr, the needle just flies off the gauge now, I took it to an indy to have a look and they said it is the wrong sender, the one on there is a silver one but they say it should be a brass coloured one, I have the dials with cream back and black bezels, the mileometer is digi any one any idea which one to get and why the needle shoots off the scale

If the sender has 2 connectors, try connecting to the other one ETB or CAI made the gauges try getting a sender from whichever made your gauges or one of the TVR specialist spares suppliers.
