oil pressure light? flickering
Discussion
hi all, i,ve just serviced my cerb this evening, oil filter, oil, 100 amp fuse etc, Since then my oil pressure light keeps flicking, but the gauge is staying steady around 55/60 psi. does anyone know where the sender is for the dash light? could of knocked the plug off? Or any idea's? Thanks Adam
The sender is in the V of the engine at the back underneath the plate that the coil packs are bolted to.
IIRC the 100 amp fuse is perfectly positioned to ensure you can't get to the sender without taking it (the fuse) off. Even then its very limited access but if its just a loose wire you might be able to get at it with thin nosed pliers and clip it back on. Remember to disconnect the battery before messing about with the big fuse.

mine did this after it was out in the rain without the scuttle panel fitted - it fixed itself after a run dried it out.
I have done the sender it is a B***er to do, if the gauge is reading OK all is well, why not get a new sender (not expensive) and do it when you are ready.
