Help Flaking Paint! Monaro VXR

Noticed some paint flaking off the drivers door handle and surround. Passenger side looks iffy too, anybody else had this problem.?
Car is still under warranty but I am concerned that if the replacements need painting then they will not be able to match the silver colour. (Not a big fan of Vauxhall dealers)
Do they come ready painted?

Known issue - your decent local dealer will do em for you.

yep known fault took mine in and got it all fixed under warranty. Interestingly though they told me paint is only coverd for one year from sale?!?!?!? (did it 2 days before teh 3 year warranty expired!)

Had it done at my local vauxhaul garage under warrenty in Febuaury no problem with silver colour match on mine

Had both mine done under warranty at Bellingers of Wantage. No problems at all.

Thats great, now my drivers door handle is flacking after reading this thread lol

We've had a number of problems with door handles. We are happy to get the job done as long as the vehicle is within the 3 years warranty give us a call 02380 449232 ask for Mark Wilmot.

Mark thanks for posting that but out of interest why would VX not honor a repaint on handles outside of three years even if the fault started sooner (sometimes the fault isn't really visible, my case for example it only became really noticable so close to end of the 3 years) - surely as it is a well documented fault it should be covered for more than the 3 years out of good faith?

I assume we all apprecaite that the crap plastic handles that flex when yr not considerate in opening the the large heavy doors causes the paint to flake. Ive given strict instructions to my other half not to pull hard on the handle when she opens it to try and stop this occuring on mine.

Had the same happen on my Blue 04 Monaro, even the paggenger door went and that was hardly ever used.

It happened to mine, reported to Greens last year (Sept I think) and though they assured me they would do it not heard from them for ages. Given the distances involved for me, I'll probably end up sorting it myself locally (if ever I get around to it!). Oh and both sides went on mine, and my passenger door is RARELY used!
