tomtom 520 can I choose which road I want to use?

So for instance can I choose to take the n138 to le mans?
I can tell it not to use toll roads, and avoid m/ways but it still takes me down different routes....

Any help would be appreciated..

Plan your route using this: http://www.janboersma.nl/gett/download/

Save the route as "yourroute.itn" -- copy "yourroute.itn" to the /itn directory on your tomtom -- load the itinerary on your tomtom and follow the instructions.

I have that already and it is an option, I just wondered if there was a way to tell it to use a particular road rather than having a load of waypoints.

Two ways at least of doing it on the device:

Itinerary planning, or

Details of route, alternative route, via ... This only lets you add a single via point
