Are there ANY cars that run on over 85% nitro or is it a thing of the past?

FIA Top Fuel Dragster, Fuel Funny Car, FIA Top Methanol Dragster (injected-nitro), the NFAA.

FIA classes never went to 85% from 90% - it was on the cards but when NHRA changed it back to 90% FIA stayed with 90%.

Is that enough for you biggrin

90% is the maximum allowed but it doesn't mean you have to run that much - some teams run less. Lex for example was running 85% as he had a plan to run in the USA when 85% was the maximum there.

I think Nitro loading was much more of a tuning variable in those days, unless you were Tony Boden, who was generally 'loaded for bear'!

The VRA series is the Front Engine Top Fuel cars in the US. There's no official class for it in the UK, so the 2 cars currently in the UK will race in Supercharged Outlaws for the time being.

In terms of nitro percentage, I'll be using quite a high one smile
Which two cars are they? so I can look out for them.biggrin:

Asbo-effing-lutely sir smile

I'll remember to fill in an information sheet for you, riddled with witty sarcasm... smile
I just looked at the Outlaws site.. note to self.. seek and ye shall find. Just a filled in commentary sheet will do Besty.. I can do my own sarc !wink
A sight to look forward to at some point in the future, would be a full turn out of S.O.s, NFAA and Wild Bunch crews at the same event.
