exporting 450 to Switzerland
Discussion
I'm in the process of sorting out a move to Switzerland and taking the Chimaera. Already swapped the loud exhaust for a standard
and now want a list of essentials to take over anticipating breakdown or major service requirements. I've looked at all Le Mans and holiday threads and have the following list, especially as there is a 550mile drive there.
Any ommissions that anyone has learnt from experience?
Spares
Fan Belt (plus a diagram of how it's fitted)
Throttle cable
Fuses (including 40 and 100amp with housing)
Keyfob batteries
HT Leads (complete set)
Bulbs
Rotor arm
Fuel Pump Relays
Various Electrical Connectors
Top and bottom radiator hoses and clips
Otter Switch
Wiper and arms
Spark plugs
Was wondering whether to bother with brake spares?
Others
The Spare Wheel!
Jack
Wheel Brace
Wheel lock key
Tyre-weld
Oil
Water bottle and coolant
WD40
Super Glue
Jubilee Clips
Cable Ties
Duct Tape
Electrical Tape
The Bible (the useful one and not the made up one)
Small Socket Set
Various Screwdrivers
Various Spanners
Tyre pressure gauge
Set of allen keys
Stanley Knife
Small Hacksaw
Pliers
Cable snips
Torch
Jump Leads
Accumate charger
First Aid kit
Fire extinguisher
Beam deflector - fitted
(GB on numberplate)
BTW before anyone pipes in. This is not a "Worst ever I'm off to sunnier climes with low taxes and better standard of living thread"
