Really like the look of this car

http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/412967.htm

I am looking at returning to the TVRfamily and currently looking for a T350 or Cerbera. This one looks like it has had an interesting history, nice colour and well looked after, but I do not know who it belongs too.

At the moment I am just weighing up my options,

I can't help with the car sorry but it is red, think of the resale value! Red cars are all very nice if they have a prancing horse on the front but a red tvr? Think long and hard about it before you buy it, think green or gun metal or silver or black...

Are you saying red cars are not worth as much?

Nope greens do not sell that well at all, plus you'll find that Blue is the most popular colour. But you are right about the flat reds.

It's not just red is it. It's red with an 'ocean' green interior.

It has to be a very special person, who likes that combo'.

All IMHO of course. biggrin

I am not saying that, red is a very interesting colour. Its the 1st colour you see when you're a baby, apparently, when you get older it apparently stimulates your heartbeat and the retina of your eyes. It was in colour psycology at uni. All red cars look better only because you are phased by the colour and not the car. Also as a designer, you should never render or paint a car red, it apparently loses the shape and form due to the red stimulating organic things.

People that buy red cars haven't got passed the babbling stage yet. Now where is that tongue in cheek smiley gone?

It's all down to choice, but the flat reds do seem to have a tendancy to fade somewhat quicker than other colurs. They're great whatever coloursmile

I don't think I've ever seen such a hideous colour combo on a TVR! I think re-sale might be problematic?

Blue is the best cerb colour, with magnolia hide all IMHO of course biggrin

Lets get this straight, the green would go!

But is the red really that bad?

I think that the red is rather nice.

Would look lovely with some new spiders and low profile 888's.

Magnolia interior with red here and there as a contrast sound good.

Look good with yellow calipers and shiny exhausts (SP) poking out of the back.

I'd buy it.

"Reads" like its been well looked after. You can always get that interior re-trimmed in magnolia (as mentioned above) or something light and make a deal on the price regarding that. Red will be fine with some good polishing. Get some clear repeaters and fogs. If it drives well could be a bargain. Just the subwoofer in the back would make me a bit suspicious on the previous driving style.

I was lucky enough to come across my Cerby in the colour I really wanted which is Crystal Topaz. In my opinion, it is just the best colour and suits the car perfectly. I have however been asked a few times why I bought one in such a 'Girlie' colour!!! Oh well, so long as the ladies love it........

If you like it, go for it!

It certainly stands out. I personally think it looks alright, although I would have to change the interior as mentioned.

Go take a look at it and see if anything can be done price wise!
