Having dabbled with V8 powered cars for the last few years I got to wondering what might be the smallest capacity V8 used in a production car?

Thanks for the Wiki link singlecoil. There's a 2.0L V12 on there!

I just told the missus I wanted a wine rack made from a V8 engine block. Mrs Flintstone: "How many bottles does it hold?" banghead

I was about to say Guzzi too, then read it again. Didn't Maser do some F1 engines about 2 or 2.5 for GP racing? TF1 TF2 Birdcage? Not production but some made it to the road.

Coventry Climax FWMV, V8 1.5 litres, apparently fitted to the Lotus 25. THere is a hillclimb BRM with 1 fitted in the Cov transport museum.

Didn't someone do a 1.5l turbo V8 F1 engine in the '80s?

Think all the turbos were V6 or IL4s
