111S-S2 Alternator

Hi There, Just asking if any of the 1800 Rover alternators would do as a replacement, i understand the body will be the same but have heard that the Lotus one requires a higher output for some reason,the bearing on mine is noisey and transmits the sound through the chassis at idle which is irritating,i would like a seperate unit to refurb anyway and thought of a 418 doner.
Can anyone shed any light,
