Has anyone had their TVR retrimmed completely (leather) to a good standard. If so, who did it for you ?

Yes, 2. The first was 12 years ago and was a 280 convertible done by Parkstone Trimming Co in Poole. The second I have just finished is a 350+2 FHC but I have done over 50% of that myself and used a local retired trimmer to do the tricky bits (like seats).

Probably not much help really was it!

I got talking to a Chimaera owner with a car of a very similar age to mine, but his had the cream leather interior and mine the darker standard vinyl trim. Made mine look a bit grim and tacky, in all honesty and got me thinking exactly the same question - how much would a full retrim in leather be? Quite a bit of dosh, I would imagine, especially if you wanted the instrument cowl / dash area covered as well.

Jon

I got the following prices a few weeks ago from Andy @ ajtrimming :

2-3 hides of leather Depend on size £130.00each
Labour
Seats £450.00 (2.2 days)
Centre Consol & Arms £200.00 (1 day)
Dash £200.00 (1 day)

There was also an additional labour charge for the dash to be removed.

Edited to say this was for a Griff

So a quick sum of those prices plus a bit gives around £1500 for the whole job. Plus VAT, I would imagine.

Hmmm,

Plan A - retrim the car in leather
Plan B - Mark Adams Tornado chip, Rolling Road remap and a Tower View roll bar.

Actuall vinyl is quite kinky, so maybe I'll go with Plan B.

Edit: Forgot to say - thanks for the info though. I was thinking it would be £2k+
