After many years of penny pinching I am now the very proud owner of a 1995 chimaera and have a few questions if someone could answer them for me.there is a very faint wine from the rear end,the power steering has a hissing noice when you turn and do you know where i can get another key fob as the TVR dealer has said you can not get them at all and i need to change my whole alarm. Is this really true .thank you for your help.

Is it constant (fuel pump not a problem)
Does it vary with speed (dif. could be worth getting a professional opinion)

Not normally an issue.
do you know where i can get another key fob

Faint Whine could be diff, I don't think that it is unusual for them to make a little noise but would check the diff oil level to make sure that it is correct!!

Can't help with your questions, but a very big welcome to the asylum and Chim ownership.

Hope you get your problems sorted soon.

Safe driving and keep it shiny side up.

Welcome to the madhouse!

It is not unknown for the power steering system to make a mild noise when on full lock but it's worth checking the resevoir on the top of the engine, the cap should have ZF on the top, on unscrewing it will have a built in dipstick make sure the fluid is above the minimum marker, if the noise is constant check the drive belt for adjustment.

Have fun!
